Sickness Prevention - Detect Plant Stress & Diseases Early

At PlantedWithAI, we believe in proactive plant care. Our Sickness Prevention module leverages advanced camera-based AI to monitor your plants for signs of stress, disease, or pest infestations. By using real-time image analysis and nitrogen dioxide (NVDA) detection, our system can identify potential issues before they become serious problems.

Climate & Light Management

Our system intelligently manages temperature, humidity, CO2 levels, and light to ensure plants thrive.The system continuously monitors environmental data using sensors and automatically adjusts factors like ventilation, heating, and artificial lighting based on real-time conditions. If temperatures rise too high, fans or heating systems are triggered to maintain the ideal climate. Additionally, light sensors detect insufficient natural light, activating LED grow lights to supplement sunlight.

Drone-Enhanced Precision

Equipped with high-resolution and multispectral cameras, drones capture real-time data on crop health, soil conditions, and irrigation needs across vast agricultural landscapes. This aerial intelligence feeds directly into our AI-driven system, enabling farmers to make faster, more accurate decisions—whether it’s early detection of pests, optimizing water usage, or enhancing yield predictions.

Drone Enhanced

OUR PROGRESSOur Agricultural Journey.

Following the initial prototype, we conducted controlled propagation trials using 100 Juniperus Itoigawa cuttings, achieving a remarkable 97% root development success rate. This early result validated our data-driven approach to microclimate control and resource optimization. Encouraged by these outcomes, we expanded testing to include other fruit cultivars and plant species, all of which showed similarly high propagation success under AI-assisted environmental regulation.
2025
Advanced AI Control & Diagnosis

Migrated to a more robust model architecture using Gradient Boosting Machines (GBM) via XGBoost, enabling multi-variable predictions and control. AI now autonomously manages irrigation, fertilization, and fan systems, while flagging health anomalies using image-based inference.

2024
Visual Detection & Night Vision

Introduced camera control and Raspberry Pi NOIR cameras for low-light image acquisition. Started experimenting with basic plant anomaly detection using image classification models to flag visual signs of plant stress, disease, or pest presence.

Sensor Expansion & Monitoring Interface

Upgraded the system with soil moisture, CO₂, and light intensity sensors to improve data granularity. Built a custom web-based dashboard to visualize environmental variables and plant health, significantly enhancing monitoring and system responsiveness.

Data-Driven Irrigation Begins

Analyzed the collected environmental data and developed an early AI model using Scikit-learn’s DecisionTreeClassifier. This model predicted watering and fertilization needs based on microclimatic patterns, marking the first step toward autonomous resource management.

First Prototype

Initiated the project by installing a Raspberry Pi 5 in a home greenhouse environment. Integrated Adafruit DHT22 sensors to collect temperature and humidity data, forming a foundational dataset tailored to optimizing the propagation of Juniperus Itoigawa cuttings.
